clPillowcase: Beginning Sewing - Pillowcase

New to sewing? This class is for you. We'll be making a pillowcase in fabrics of your choice. We'll talk about the reasons behind fabric and thread selection.
The pattern will be provided as part of your class fee.
Supply list:

2/3 yard of 100% cotton fabric for main pillowcase body
1/4 yard of 100% cotton fabric for pillowcase cuff
2 x 44 inch piece of 100% cotton fabric for pillowcase accent (note that the smallest cut we'll make at Patti's is 1/4 yard)
pins
50-wt. cotton thread in coordinating color(s)
Seam ripper
Scissors
Sewing machine in good working order
Sewing machine manual

Rotary cutter
Small rotary cutting mat (recommend 17" x 24" or larger)
2 1/2" x 24" inch rotary cutting ruler (or larger)

Please spend some time reviewing your sewing machine manual to learn how to thread your machine, fill a bobbin and load a bobbin. Assistance will be provided on these tasks if needed, but familiarity with these tasks before class is a plus.
